چکیده
In the present work, lavender waste, a residue of essential oil extract industry, was used to feed Eisenia andrei with mature horse manure at ratios 0:100, 25:75, 50:50, 75:25 and 100:0 on dry weight basis. Vermicomposting carried out for 70 days in laboratory conditions. Biological parameters such as population build-up, total biomass, mortality cocoon production were observed measured. Increasing concentrations waste affected positively growth reproduction worms significant way. The 100% combination showed best even tripled their biomass first week. A seed germination test also made, where no evidence toxicity found. index range was, general terms, above 100. results indicated that earthworm E. able transform into compost thus play major role industrial management apply circular economy.

India produces around 3000 million tones of organic waste annually. This huge volume of waste(s) comes from agriculture, urban and industrial sources and also from domestic activities. Utilization of this waste material for productivity process is important for both economical and environmental reasons. In the present study an effort has been made to asses the efficacy of E. foetida (red tiger ...

Due to human activities huge amount of organic wastes are simply dumped in the environment creating disposal and pollution problems. Suitable and sustainable utilization of these wastes is vermicomposting which converts wastes in to wealth. In the present study, 1:1 proportion (wt./wt.) of vegetable market waste (VMW) and press mud (sugar industry waste) mixture have been used for vermicomposti...

This paper reports the vermicomposting of food industry sludges (FIS) mixed with different organic wastes employing Eisenia fetida. A total of 10 vermicomposting units containing different wastes combinations were established. After 15 weeks significant increase in total nitrogen (N(total)) (60-214%), total available phosphorous (P(avail)) (35.8-69.6%), total sodium (Na(total)) (39-95%), and to...
